Hello, welcome to my blog, a place to celebrate the joys of life in the south! Gardening, stitching, quilting, dogs and trying to live on the slow side are my new activities. After 40 years of nursing, why not!😃.

March and the Lady Banks rose is lovely on the arbor over the swing. The petite yellow blossoms are a welcome sight. If it was a bit warmer I would be sitting underneath, watching the birds visit our feeders. We have just moved them to the back of the terrace, trying to fix the toppling hooks and make it more attractive. The squirrels were the first visitors. Not sure why the birds were slower, but we have Carolina wrens, bluebirds, cardinals, mockingbirds, titmice, chickadees, thrashers, morning doves etc. I love their orange feet on the dives and the soft cooing sounds when they take to the sky.
The Long and Winding Road is finished.
I have picked up a project started in so long ago. It started as a wall quilt and morphed into a canvas for learning and experimenting with embroidery stitches. An ongoing project is always fun! Enjoy the weekend☺

Your roses are just beautiful! I'm so looking forward to garden season - it seems like it will never arrive. : ) Lovely finish on The Long and Winding Road! And your quilt is so pretty! I tried making miniature quilts once upon a time but really struggle with sewing - just can't sew a straight line. Thank you for your visit to my blog! I'm looking forward to following you too. : )
